Phantom Follies Burlesque Review - 11/14

Do you love vintage and burlesque? If so, we have the perfect event for you! The first show in Vintage Trixie's Burlesque Review, Phantom Follies, will be held on November 14, 2025 at 7pm on stage in Vintage Trixie's Odditorium and hosted by Rob Floyd. Enjoy some cheese! Only $25 to attend!
We are seeking performers to participate with 2 performances! Each performer will be paid $50 and will receive an equal share of the total tips. The theme is vintage spooky

Taxidermy 101 - 11/16

Trixie will be using her expertise to teach a class on the basics of museum preparation techniques and taxidermy. The class will focus on the preparation of a rodent study skin - the most common way that species reference specimens are preserved for future use. Learn the basics of taxidermy, museum preparation of a study skin mount, and the basics of taxonomy and naming of species. Each participant will prepare their own mount that is theirs to keep. All materials needed for the class will be included in the class registration fee of $150 + credit card processing fee . Class participants must be over 18 years of age. Class size is limited to 12.
Registration can also be done in person at our shop, located at 112 Wayne Avenue in Chesapeake, VA. Registrations are not transferrable. NO WALK-INS!

Forensic Studies: Hair Analysis - 11/20

This class marks the first of a series of unique science classes, because science is real AND cool!! Join Trixie on November 6, 2025 at 6:30 to learn about some forensics - more specifically about hair evidence! Each participant will learn about the anatomy of mammalian hair and use microscopes to learn to identify animal species just by looking at the hair! The class will make wet mount slides from various types of mammal species and construct a reference booklet and use them to solve some mysteries! This class is for those 14 years and older and costs $30 per person.

Poppet Workshop - 12/10

Join Rusa Harju and learn all about poppets! Poppets are magical tools that have been used across the centuries in various diverse cultures. Used for sympathetic magic, these doll can be made of many different materials and for a wide range of intentions. In this workshop we will learn the history of poppets, how they are made, from what materials, and for what purposes. Also discussed will be use of color, taglocks, herbs and other natural ingredients, and ritualized practices. Participants will create a fabric poppet programmed for prosperity. $35 per persoon - All materials will be provided.

Sip on blood-red cocktails, paint your bleeding heart out, shop the eclectic shelves of Vintage Trixie and lose yourself in the velvet fog of rebellion against romance. Show up in mourning, masked in mystery, or dressed to impress the darkness. Corsets, velvet, lace, and sinfully sharp style encouraged.
