Poppet Workshop - 03/26

Join Rusa Harju and learn all about poppets! Poppets are magical tools that have been used across the centuries in various diverse cultures. Used for sympathetic magic, these doll can be made of many different materials and for a wide range of intentions. In this workshop we will learn the history of poppets, how they are made, from what materials, and for what purposes. Also discussed will be use of color, taglocks, herbs and other natural ingredients, and ritualized practices. Participants will create a fabric poppet programmed for prosperity. $35 per persoon - All materials will be provided.

Join us for a great beginners workshop, Tarot 101, taught by Rusa Harju in our odditorium. Rusa has 50 years of experience in tarot and will lay a foundation for the understanding of tarot and offer instruction on how to give a tarot reading. Learn about the history of tarot, its components (major and minor arcana), and read simple spreads. A whole lot packed into 3 hours!! The cost is $35 per person. 

Ghost Hunt - 04/12

It's the full moon! Join us for a night of paranormal excitement and see if a full moon effects the spirits! First learn about ghost hunting and the equipment used to do paranormal investigations with the local W.T.C.W. Paranormal investigation team. Then join the team for a real investigation on the activity in our shop! The event will be limited to 30 participants! Cost is $25 per person. Ages 14 and up

Charm Casting Workshop - 04/16

Charm casting is a modern form of divination that has it’s roots in many ancient and diverse cultures. Rather than throwing bones, shells, stones and the like, today’s practitioner casts a personalized set of charms, trinkets and small objects. When these items are tossed onto a casting surface the symbols, as well as where and how they land, are interpreted to receive intuitive messages.
In this workshop participants will receive a starter set of charms and charm bag. The group will discuss various casting surfaces, universal and personal symbolism, similar divination practices, and methods to open intuition. Participant will be given the opportunity to add to their charm collection and give practice readings. $35 registration per person

Pendulum Workshop - 05/07

The title of this workshop is "Pendulum Design, Dowsing, and Practicum. Learn how to make and use a pendulum with Rusa Harju! In this workshop, the participants will design and create your personalized pendulum, explore personal divination with a readings mat and practice dowsing. All materials are included! $40 per person.

Curiosity Faire 2025! - 08/23

Mark your calendars! We are so excited to present this extravaganza! This is an indoor event like no other featuring a market of all things odd, curious, whimsical, and just plain strange! Shop with local vendors, purveyors of curious experience, and get your photos taken with weird and wonderful Feral Showgirls! See incredible dancers perform! Check out the Vintage Trixie Sideshow and hear the spectacular music of the award winning band - Rachel and the JellyCats!
This year's Faire will be on August 23, 2025, from 10am to 6pm at the Chesapeake Conference Center located at 700 Conference Center Drive in Chesapeake VA 23320. Admission of $5 will be for anybody over 13 and under 13 free! Concessions and a cash bar will be available during the event.
We are looking for vendors that have a curious and even perhaps a quirky vibe! We will be accepting registrations for artists, crafters, vintage/antique vendors, herbalists, authors, purveyors of curious services (such as psychic readings of various types, body painting, reiki/crystal/massage practitioners, magicians, puppeteers, etc.), cosplayer groups and so on! This event will be carefully curated to produce a specific weird and wonderful experience - therefore some applications may not be accepted because while your items are clearly wonderful they may not be right fit for this type of show.
